Pepper von Tulare is a beautiful 6 year old German Shepherd. She almost looks like she has some Belgian Shepherd but her previous owner says she is a pure German Shepherd. We rarely get a dog from a situation where they were so loved and cherished. This is really a sad story. An older couple was forced to sell their house because of the wife’s illness and medical bills.  It broke their hearts to give up Pepper; they are waiting for good news from us that we found her a wonderful new home. Pepper had the best care; we have all her medical records and shot history for most of her life. Pepper was a favorite with the grandchildren when they would visit. The kids would hide under a blanket and Pepper would go find them, and then get under the blanket with them. When the owner would open the front door Pepper would not go out until she was told she could. The husband would tell Pepper to run, so she could get some exercise, she wouldn’t go past the sidewalk and would run until she was told she could come back in the house. She is trained, knows her commands and is housebroken. As sweet as she is, she is still protective and will bark to alert anyone to anything out of the ordinary. She especially likes to protect the car! Pepper lived with a female Chihuahua who was her best friend. It was heart breaking to see Pepper arriving at the noisy kennel trying to figure out what just happened to her wonderful life. Pepper is so ready to transfer all the love she has to give to her new family!
